For service businesses
You don't need an API
If somebody phones you for a quote, books a slot in your calendar, or asks whether you cover their part of town, an assistant can now do the same thing on their behalf. It only needs somewhere to ask. That does not have to be software you own.
What actually changes
Right now an assistant looking for a plumber, a hauler, a detailer or a dentist finds whichever business it can call. If it cannot call you, it calls whoever it can. Nothing about your work needs to change for that to go your way. What is missing is a short, honest menu of the things a stranger is allowed to ask you: are you free on Thursday morning, what would this cost, can you come to this address, take my details and have someone call me.
That menu is the connector. We build it, and the answers come from the system you already use.
If you take bookings through Square
This one is self-serve today. You connect your Square Appointments account, confirm which services you want an assistant to be able to ask about, and we provision the connector for you. There is no development work and no waiting on us.
Nothing happens without you saying yes
Looking things up is free and instant: an assistant can ask what you do, whether a time is open, roughly what a job costs. Anything that commits you stops and waits. You get a WhatsApp message with the request and a six-character code, and you reply YES, NO, or ALWAYS. ALWAYS means that particular assistant can do that particular thing without asking you again; you can take it back at any time.
Until you answer, the assistant is told the truth: the request is pending. It is never told the booking is made when it is not.
What it costs
$79 a month, which covers running the connector, the approval messages, the monitoring, and re-filing when one of the directories changes its rules. If your setup needs a booking or quoting layer built first, that is the $1,500 add-on to the build, and we will tell you on the first call whether you need it.
Other booking systems, honestly
Square Appointments is the one that works end to end today. Calendly, Jobber and Housecall Pro are next, and they are next because they are the ones people keep asking for, not because they are finished. They are not built yet and we are not going to pretend otherwise: if you are on one of those, tell us and we will tell you where it is in the queue and what we could do for you in the meantime.
If you are on something else entirely, or on paper, the scan is still free and the conversation is still worth having.
